DENNISTOUN NEW TRAIDCRAFT HISTORY

In 1989 Brenda Rennox started having a Fairtrade stall in Dennistoun Central Church mainly on Christain Aid Week, Christian holidays and a few other Sundays.

In 1995 the stall was set up every Sunday after the church service except communion services.

In 1996 Brenda became a Fairtrader with Traidcraft and the stall was named Dennistoun Central Traidcraft and Shona Barr joined Brenda in running the stall.

In 2005 Dennistoun Central became a Fairtrade Church. In the same year Rae Richardson and Greta Smeall joined with what had now become the Traidcraft Team and two from the Sunday School Leanne and Lorna help as well.

In 2006 Anne Marie Benedetti who had a stall in Blackfriars Church joined the team.

In 2007 Dennistoun Central and Dennistoun Blackfriars formed a union and was named Dennistoun New Parish Church, the stall was renamed Dennistoun New Traidcraft.
